We have been beta testing the new Zoho CRM mobile app and have to say it is great! A vast improvement on the existing one, which in fact is still pretty good compared to the competitor CRM apps!
A brand new interface, with task and event oriented functions / screens allows you to see immediately who is doing what and when, and the calendaring layout seems to offer so much more space on screen, very nice.
One thing we would recommend if tracking events of multiple staff is important to you: get your users to go to their Zoho account page (you can get there via accounts.zoho.com) and upload their photo - the new UI on the Zoho CRM app displays small thumbnails against the events so you can see who is who.
Email is integrated too - send emails direct from the app, very nice. We have requested that signature also be built in, it seemed to be missing on the beta.
The ‘Nearby Me’ function on Leads and Accounts is also very cool - instead of a filter for Leads near me it seems that you can select a view (which are controlled from your CRM), then simply apply the map to show the filtered leads or accounts that are near you, the range being stated in the settings. Again, very well thought out.
The whole look and actions of the mobile app are following in the footsteps of the Zoho Books/Invoice apps, which have a collapsable side menu to save on screen space and a nice, 'fresh' look to them, which we like very much.
The new app will hopefully also contain quotes and sales order modules to create quotes and so on on the fly, although this is not yet present on the beta. We'll communicate with oho on this, as soon as it is released we will make an announcement, so watch this space!
