I was going to develop the title with “new and easier” and if you are an existing Zoho Projects user you will know what I mean.

Without going into any details all I will say was that document management in Zoho Projects was clunky and leave it at that! 

Now we have an authentic, real deal document management application built into Zoho Projects. And it is powered by Zoho Docs.

Perhaps, I hear one or two “so what’s? 

Well the so what is, and many people may not be aware of this, you not only get a full blown document management application, you also get access to Zoho Writer, Zoho Sheet, and Zoho Show.

And that means you can create new documents, spreadsheets and presentations and collaborate, communicate and share them with your colleagues online, both internal and external, online.

You can now easily manage all your documents by uploading them into nested folders.

And then you can edit them using documents using Zoho Writer,Zoho Sheet, and Zoho Show document editors.

File sharing now becomes much easier too and when you create a document within Zoho Projects or upload it from an external device it is automatically shared to all project members. 

And that means your project team members,even external ones such as your customers and consultants, no matter where they are, can quickly and easily view and collaborate on the latest version of the document.    

But wait, it really does get better as you can now have more than one person working on the same document at the same time right within Zoho Projects.

So for example you need to get your customer to agree to a change to a project brief. A quick call to customers, collaborate and agree with them on the changes together, and save it. And rather than the call you can use the online document chat window.

Versioning? Of course. The document’s revision history allows you to return to, or check with, your previous versions. Now that is not only document management versioning; that is document management versioning right within your project management application.

Zoho Projects, including video introduction.

From day one at Mangoho we have been using Zoho Projects for both for our internal tasks and projects and our customer’ projects. 

Indeed all of the planning behind the launch of our company was managed by Zoho projects.

In a neat touch a “see saw” GUI representation is presented to users showing allocated time vis a vis free time at either end.

So with the introduction of SLA automation into Zoho Projects we can make every possible attempt to make sure that responses can be met according to the terms of the SLA.

Furthermore particular actions can also be automatically generated so that, for example, a specific user with the correct level of expertise is assigned to a specialized user.

Zoho Projects with video.

Zoho Projects, the online project tracking and management tool is moving closer to becoming a true Project Manager friendly tool that can be used in Agile & Scrum project management methodologies with its integration with Zoho Reports.

We're in discussions with Zoho on this now, finding out just what integration functions this will provide but based on the powerful feature set of the Zoho CRM integration we are assuming that it will provide measurement of all sorts of metrics from project effort, resource management and more.
